History

The current owners of Södra Lund are Göran and Jessica Cannervik. We hope to offer our guests a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The Property’s History

According to Ridderstad, Lund is mentioned as early as 1356 and 1379. By the mid-1500s, Lund consisted of two noble estates. Through purchases and inheritance, many notable individuals — as well as the Crown — owned the estates, which were converted into taxable properties in 1765 and 1772. Södra Lund was established in the 1840s by landowner Lars Larsson through the merging of several farms.

Around 1890, Lars Larsson’s son-in-law, Peter Karlsson, purchased the property and owned it until 1910, when he sold it to landowner Sven Törnqvist. It is said that in 1916, the owner had the stately and solid manor house built.

Since its construction, the residence has retained its original character and has been carefully maintained and renovated over the years. When the estate was sold in 1990, the manor house, residential wing, and stables — along with the surrounding land — were separated from the main estate, forming the current property.
